I am so glad your child is a part of our “class family!” I’m a mother of two children; Nate is in 4th grade here at VPA, and Melody is in Kindergarten. My husband, Brian, and I enjoy our family time, but I try to be available to my students and their families as much as possible. If you ever have a question or concern outside of school hours, please check Class Dojo for my cell phone number, and don’t hesitate to contact me!
It is my hope that your child has a fun and successful 3rd grade year. I hold students very much accountable for their behavior choices, and I want to work with parents to create the best possible atmosphere for learning in our classroom. I’ve been in education since 2002, and I’m still learning, too! My hope is that we love learning and we never stop learning!
Parents frequently ask what they can do at home to help their child succeed. You can:
- check their “take-home” folders every night, including over the weekend, too.
- help them as needed with their homework. Homework is critical to their success.
- read with your child EVERY day! Yes, EVERY DAY! Try to find a book the two of you can read together and enjoy. If you ever need ideas, just let me know!
If there is ever anything I can do to support you in helping your child, please contact me! Let’s have a GREAT YEAR!
